Faith in Action of Adams County is providing a valuable training session for seasoned and new volunteers on Monday, October 22, at 10AM at Big Spring Congregational Church, 373 Golden Ct., Wisconsin Dells (the corner of Golden Ct. and County G). At noon, the end of the training session, a delicious luncheon will be served.
This year we will have Terra Francke, HHs Mental Health Caseworker, and Barb Drolson, RN from HHS, speak to us about “Working With People With Mental Illness”. This valuable presentation will help us to be more effective FAAC volunteers, and may also help us better understand friends or family who live with mental illness.
If you have ever thought about becoming a FAAC volunteer, this would a great time to “test the water”. You would be able to meet our seasoned volunteers, meet our board members, and discover what satisfying opportunities await you when you volunteer for FAAC. For instance, we are in desperate need of volunteers willing to do light housekeeping. No matter where you live in the county, there is someone nearby who could use your help
Bring a friend, learn something useful, meet new people, and have a delicious lunch. Please RSVP by October 10 at 339-0504 or email@example.com. Even if you can’t attend this training session, please call or email our office and volunteer. You can make a difference in one person’s life and enrich your own by volunteering.
